Construction Worker Injured At Lambeau Field, Dies From Injuries

A tragedy has struck the family and friends of a construction worker that passed away due to their injuries sustained during an accident while working on the new scoreboards.

“On Thursday, June 15th, one of our valued carpenters was critically injured while working at Lambeau Field which led to his passing on Saturday, June 17th,” Mavid Construction said in a statement.

The employee, was a second-generation employee and worked alongside his father and brother at Mavid Construction.

Green Bay police and firefighters were called at 10 a.m. Thursdayto Lambeau Field for a report of a trapped construction worker. Firefighters extracted the trapped worker within seven minutes, the department said. He was working in the scoreboard area in the stadium's north end zone.

The Green Bay Packers, expressed their condolences in a statement: "“The Green Bay Packers organization extends our deepest condolences to the family, friends and co-workers of the Mavid Construction employee who succumbed Saturday to the injuries he suffered on Thursday. Our thoughts are with those impacted during this difficult time.”
