Former Packer TE Leading USFL In Receiving Touchdowns

Former Green Bay Packers tight end Jace Sternberger is back on the gridiron and showing that he can still play at a high level. He leads the entire USFL in receiving touchdowns with six.

Sternberger played for the Packers from 2019 to 2021, but was unable to breakthrough as a reliable pass-catcher for Green Bay, only having 12 catches in 18 games. He was suspended for violating a league policy and was released shortly after in 2021.

Reviving his career with the USFL, Sternberger could very well find his way back on an NFL roster before the start of this upcoming season. Will the Packers look to add him back into the mix? While that is highly unlikely, I think one of the 32 teams will be willing to give him a second chance.
