Brian Gutekunst has nailed free agency the last few seasons, with signings such as Za'Darius Smith, Preston Smith, Adrian Amos, Rasul Douglas and Keisean Nixon. But, he's never broke the bank by going all out for one of the leagues top players at really any position. Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report says that the Packers are potential suitors for current Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin.

The Packers have a super young wide receiver corps, with only 3 of the rostered wide receivers ever catching a pass in an NFL game. After drafting 3 wide receivers in this years draft, Green Bay has been named consistently as a team who could be on the lookout for a veteran receiver to be an experienced option for Jordan Love in the passing game.

Matt LaFleur has spoken about letting the young guys play and develop this offseason, but if there aren't enough guys that have proven they can perform at the highest level come late summer/fall, don't be surprised if the Packers pull the trigger in bringing a veteran wide receiver in.

Chris Godwin was a third-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, and since then has won a Super Bowl, earned second-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl bids, all the while gaining at least 1,000 yards in receiving in three of the last four seasons.

Currently, Chris Godwin is on a three-year, $60M contract that the Buccaneers, who are not expected to compete with the absence of Tom Brady, could look to offload Chris Godwin before the season starts.

If I had to bet money, I would say that there is a slim chance that Chris Godwin is traded to Green Bay, unless the injury bug strikes to their receiver room. None-the-less, Brian Gutekunst always has a trick up his sleeve when it comes to free agency, so we'll have to wait and see over the course of the next few months on whether or not he strikes again.
